Remove headlight assembly
It would help if you prepared these tools when removing a headlight assembly: a pair of mechanical (or latex) gloves, a flashlight, a flat-blade screwdriver, a small box of sockets, and a couple of needle-nose pliers. Some tricky car models may require the removal of various splash guards, air filter housings, and washer fluid bottles.
Open the bonnet to find the two bolts on the top of the headlight, then use a wrench or socket to remove them. Now gently slide the entire assembly out to release the headlamp bracket tabs from the slots on the sides.
Afterward, you can see the bulb base in the headlight assembly, pinch the wire clip next to the base, and take out the bulb after the clip is released.
Disconnect the electrical connectors from the headlamp and parking lamp sockets. Once we free the bulb headlight from the base, we can replace the headlight harness.
Locate and remove the screw between the headlamp and parking lamp on top of the assembly. Then remove the old headlamp harness, and you're done.
